This is increasingly an issue that affects all sectors of our public life: violence, drug and alcohol abuse, bullying in schools and more.
Some of the curriculum I work with teach empathy to children as young as Pre-Kindergarten. This is important as part of a substance abuse prevention effort. Our nation is awash in alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse; this is a critical issue.
