This is true. I buy from farmers I know and that means I eat some things they sell for a lot of money per pound compared to the grocery store. I must say I buy in bulk or by subscription and save substantially. But the ground turkey I got last week would have sold for $9 a pound retail. I would never have bought it and yet, it was fabulous and a fair price. We have to get over cheap meat.
