Yes, they are. We all put change in a jar at several non-profits and at a call center it was a madhouse in the large break-room with multiple fridges. I never used them, because people took others’ food and it was generally unpleasant. I don’t even remember a coffee machine to use your own coffee there. It was like the Wild West. I took everything i needed for the shift and kept in a cooler in my bag with me.

That call center was a strange world. You never got to use the same cubicle each day either. Fomented discontent in so many ways.
