Microsoft made the most recent version of Windows 11 available on the Beta channel to Insider Programme participants. KB5034851 is a part of the 22635.3140 upgraded build. This update includes a new function added to the Start menu and a new location for the Copilot logo.

Microsoft moved the Copilot symbol to a more accessible and understandable place. The Copilot symbol will now appear on the taskbar on the right side of the system tray. This change makes it easier for users by moving the Copilot input point closer to the location where the Copilot window opens.

Microsoft disabled the taskbar’s far-right corner’s default “show the desktop” behaviour as part of this upgrade. If that's more your style, you may turn this feature on or off in the taskbar behaviours area. To get there, navigate to

Settings > Personalisation > Taskbar (you can also do a right-click to bring up this menu).

Please be aware that Insiders in the Canary Channel are now receiving this modification. As a result, not everyone will notice this change immediately.

Feature #1

Additionally, Microsoft is testing a new feature in the Dev Channel for a select group of Windows Insiders. This new feature organises all of your PC’s recently installed programmes into a folder under Start’s Recommended area. It’s crucial to remember that this functionality is being rolled out gradually, so not every Insider in the Beta Channel will see the change right away.

Feature #2

Microsoft is testing a new capability for users with Microsoft Entra ID accounts enrolled on Windows 11 Pro or Enterprise versions, according to the changelog. You can see and participate in upcoming Microsoft Teams meetings right from the Start menu thanks to this functionality. Five minutes before it begins, the next online Teams meeting will be listed as a Recommended item. The Teams Join meeting flow may be accessed by clicking on the meeting recommendation. Please be advised that not all Insiders in the Beta Channel will immediately see this feature as it is presently in the process of rolling out.
