Our education system and society pressures us to show restraint. We can't show physically that we are too happy or too sad. If I feel overwhelmed I can't throw myself dramatically on the bed. (I do now though, and it's awesome) if I feel victorious I can’t jump up and down and whoop. This cannot be healthy

Very true! Expression is so necessary in mental health. Some are worried however that negative emotions can lead to violent actions. We just need to find healthy ways of expressing it (liking plopping on the bed dramatically!) ;)
