Goal setting and getting…

Day 255 — I’m not gonna lie…I am a goal digger. In January 2016 I wrote out my life goals in all five categories: career, health, finance, relationships, spirituality. I’m here focusing on updating my goals and can’t hardly find new goals I want to achieve. I am a work in progress for sure. Some I’ve given myself the gift of achieving or being very close to getting it done…others…well…they are still lofty BHAC (Big Hairy Audacious Creative) goals. For. Sure.
This diagram describes the cage of self concept that we all are impacted by. I look at it nearly every day. Bill Cortright uses it as a departure point for explanation and/or discussion about…well…just about everything. I’m working my way up the energy ladder and setting goals that are true to my higher self.
I’m struggling with setting goals that my be lofty and out of reach (so why try) but I guess I’m hard wired that way. I’m sad I wasted so much time worrying about things that really don’t matter in the long run. I’ve got some thinking to do on this thought. Choosing these goals are kicking my butt and testing my will. I keep trying not to take it too seriously but I do.
Then just when I’m ready to “tap-out,” I get a reminder that my goals need attention. I’m asked to visualize my perfect day. And when I do! It’s the same one every time. All visually based on the Hamptons home and Diane Keaton character in the film, “Something’s Gotta Give.” Always. As in Every. Single. Time. The visual storytelling in this film is terrific. I’m told it is good, nice, and easy to update what you visualize on a regular basis. And, although I keep trying to do it, it is tough to do. As in VERY. But don’t listen to me. Try it yourself! Where is your happy place? How do the Health, Finance, Wealth, Relationships, Spirituality issues fit and factor in? What are you doing to get yourself there? Seems like simple enough questions to answer but they are not. I’m kinda enjoying it and I’m sticking with it.
