Did you suffer massive head trauma, Ron? Or, perhaps, you’re a left over from when we used to lobotomize people. Wow — baseless accusations are fun!

Dave is a grown man and appears to be over twice my age, so he doesn’t need me defending him. Instead, I’m going to attack what you said, because it’s just that stupid.

The US is world leader in terror? Really now? Terrorism is hard to define in an exact sense, as it has a lot to do with perspective of those being terrorized. That being said, when we execute military might, we do in a manner that is consistent with US law and generally consistent with international law. We do not, for example, plant a time delay bomb on a bus, or strap a suicide vest on a 13 year old boy. Means, location and intent matter most when it comes to terrorism. We have certainly terrorized our foes and sometimes civilian populations, but it is never our intent, and we never deliberately target civilians.

And attributing ISIS to the Bush years? You’d have a point if you ascribed to the forces set into motion and the events that have been catalyzed since the Bush years — but ISIS was not a thing when Bush left office. The Islamic State of Iraq was, but it was barely a functioning organization then. We killed Zarqawi and destroyed his network, his troops, and his safe places. US withdrawal from Iraq and unchecked instability in Syria is what created ISIS as we know it. Both of these things occurred during the Obama administration.

Regarding the payment to Iran, it’s laughable that you ascribed it to the USA and not Obama. Who is the head of state? You, me, and the guy on the street peddling newspapers? No. The President is the head of state and he has much unilateral power when it comes to foreign affairs. It’s Obama’s baby.
