I think the only thing I’d disagree with is the assessment of the Predators. Though they’ve always been a stand in for the more brutal aspects of modern society (sport hunting being the most obvious manifestation), through the films they have evolved somewhat: they had begun to recognise that kinship and a grudging respect. There have been hints of a more complex society, too, perhaps a bit like the Klingons: an interstellar warrior tribe.

Still broad strokes, though. Perhaps you’re right.
