The First Tee Of Tampa bay
The First Tee of Tampa Bay is an organization that helps kids learn the game of golf and even learn the basic core values that can be used in their daily lives. The kids that have gone through their program, most of them head on to college with scholarships to play college golf and also academic scholarships. Terese Romeo is one of the many that earn a spot on Mercer’s golf team and she will be heading to her dream college in the Fall of 2015. Her journey has been a bumpy one but she finally made it.
Terese was a former gymnast and golf never came to mind until an injury caused her to hang up her leotard. Terese went through two wrist surgeries and was devastated when she found out she could not do gymnastics ever again. Her father then decided to introduce the game of golf to her. Ever since then, it has been smooth sailing for her.
