Gratitude

The year of 2020 is almost over and I can’t help but to reflect over the last 12 months. It’s been a wild and crazy year. It’s so easy to look at all of the negatives and write off 2020, but the truth is even in the chaos of 2020, some good things happened. There’s things to be appreciate of. Things to make us smile, laugh, and dance. No matter what your political views are, we elected the first woman and first woman of color (black and Asian) as the Vice President of the United States. COVID took many lives, jobs, and so much more but if you are still healthy and so are the people you love, that’s something to be thankful for. I’m learning more and more the power of being thankful. It’s changes your whole perspective because it causes you to count your blessings. It causes you to see the good in the bad. It allows you to move forward in the darkness even when things might not seem like there’s any light at the end of the tunnel. This year has been full up hurt and disappoints but urge you to count your blessings. Look at some of the positives. Are you still here? Still have food to eat? Still have clothes? Do you still live in your home? There’s so much to be grateful for. Count your blessings are you’ll see that even in the darkness, things are better than they seem. 2020 had some downs but there were also some ups. Count your blessings.
