According to Communism…
The slave that is whipped and beaten has a better existence than a proletariat.
The slave that is raped and impregnated against their will has a better existence than a proletariat.
The slave that is separated from their family, friends, and loved ones forever has a better existence than a proletariat.
The slave that is not seen as human and deserves no rights and can be executed without trial has it better than a proletariat.
All because they have a ‘secure’ existence.
Think I’m spreading misinformation? This is from the official, legitimate Marxist website from their web page on The Principles of Communism:
“The slave is sold once and for all; the proletarian must sell himself daily and hourly.
The individual slave, property of one master, is assured an existence, however miserable it may be, because of the master’s interest. The individual proletarian, property as it were of the entire bourgeois class which buys his labor only when someone has need of it, has no secure existence. This existence is assured only to the class as a whole.
The slave is outside competition; the proletarian is in it and experiences all its vagaries.
The slave counts as a thing, not as a member of society. Thus, the slave can have a better existence than the proletarian, while the proletarian belongs to a higher stage of social development and, himself, stands on a higher social level than the slave.
The slave frees himself when, of all the relations of private property, he abolishes only the relation of slavery and thereby becomes a proletarian; the proletarian can free himself only by abolishing private property in general.”
Leaving aside how the other principles mentioned on the article include abolishing private property (because apparently nobody needs the security of their own space) and religion (because the best way to stop the oppression of Muslims and Jews is to just get religion altogether, apparently), and how sex work is not a legitimate form of work and must be abolished because it’s somehow a form of ‘private property’, communism LITERALLY downplays the horrors of slavery to make it look like labor workers are the most oppressed. This is disgusting and heinous.
If you are a communist, aren’t going to change your mind about it, and claim to have the people’s best interests, you need to point these flaws out in your movement. Don’t laugh at people who criticize you and gloat on how your politics are flawless. Admit that your movement is founded on very flawed principles and that they need to be addressed and remedied. The fact that you downplay or ignore the horrors caused by communism and its problems makes it hard for others to take you seriously or want to join your movement.
Love communism all you want, but don’t pretend people don’t have a valid reason to not like it, and for the love of all that is pure, don’t make slavery sound better than it is.
