A Series of questions for the EXRNchain Development team.

Welcome back for the Second installment in the “10 Questions” Series. I hope that you found Zhaun’s offering insightful. These articles are aimed at familiarising you more with the Team and providing a catalyst for more questions, hopefully generating some good discussions within the community.

As before, the Team’s responses are unedited and offered to you verbatim.

Today’s spotlight is on someone we see more regularly within the telegram community, Unlike the other members of the Development Team his work is more visual and as such many of you will have seen snippets if his eye-catching work before.

Today we introduce you to…….

10 questions for Nassim

Nassim Bahloul

UI/UX Designer
Nassim Bah

1. When did you first hear about Cryptocurrencies?

I heard of Bitcoin back in 2011. But I didn’t take the time to pay more attention.
In 2014, I really measured the importance and the impact of Blockchain and crypto-currencies when I heard the pressure exercised from banks on french start-ups when they were trying to develop blockchain infrastructures. To me, if Banks are afraid, it was a good sign.

2. What was it about the idea that captured your interest?

Mainly, I found the concept really interesting. A revolutionary system capable to bring another alternative to the current banking system, without any third party.

3. When did you realize you had the skills to be a Blockchain Developer?

I have almost 10 years in User interface, User Experience Design & Development. Worked for many companies (from startups to big corporations.)
As a new technology, Blockchain is really appealing. Everything is new, everything has to be created. It is a new world of possibilities.
You can’t be insensitive to it.

4. Within the Crypto-sphere who has inspired/motivated you the most?

I really respect Andreas Antonopoulos. He’s trying to sensitize people and build awareness around the bitcoin and the crypto-currencies, approaching the subject from an educational, political, cultural, and human perspective — not merely discussing the technology in investment terms. He spreads valuable message around blockchain community.

5. When and how did you form the EXRNchain team?

I participated to the Logo Contest back in April ’18, and I had the chance to discuss further with Yon, who proposed me to join the team.

6. What has been your biggest challenge so far?

My biggest challenge currently is to work on the EXRN apps and exchange.
I have to deal with a lot of data, and at the same time I have to stick with the user-friendly side… but I love it!

7. What has been your biggest win so far?

Be part of the team. Definitely. Be part of the community is really interesting, though. But be part of the team to me it’s like be part of something new, something I believe in.

8. What are your thoughts on the current state of the Crypto-sphere?

A lot of people are here just for the gain and their personal interest. I don’t blame them, it’s also part of the game.
But being interested by the technology behind is way more exciting.

9. In your mind, what are the greatest challenges that crypto must overcome?

As we are at the beginning of this technology, we can name a bunch of challenges as price volatility, security or transaction cost.
But the main one, to me, is probably the User Experience. As long as a product (dApp or software) is complicated to understand or requires too many steps, it can’t go mainstream. It must be easy to use.

10. In 5 years time how do you envisage the state of the Crypto-sphere?

Few projects will survive. We’ll see more and more decentralized exchanges. The only ones which will stay alive are the ones with a strong community support…. and an efficient UX!

In future, if recieved as a success we may reach out to the community for questions to add in to another round of “10 Questions”. For now, we continue onwards towards Yon’s questions which should provide a fitting conclusion to this series.

Stay tuned for “10 questions for Vadim” as we continue our familiarisation journey.
