10 Very little known Marvel superheroes who would be really cool to look forward to
The Marvel is second only to the universe we exist in. Seriously. There are so many heroes and superhumans out there who we haven’t heard of, and we should be knowing about them. After all, if we have a movie on Ant-Man, then are still bigger. Better? Debatable. But bigger for sure.
Marvel has had its share of bad times. And we suppose that it over it now. With humongous amounts of money this studio is minting with huge successes each year, and that too many of them, Marvel seems to be on far more than just an unstoppable roll. They seem to be an avalanche of epic proportions.
But in their bad times, marvel did take some steps which may come back to haunt them even when they are enjoying the apogee of mainstream entertainment.
They had to bid adieu to a few characters to stay in the game that seemed to be too harsh on them as a studio. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and them being selling off one’s brain child seemed to have cost marvel far more than what it had expected it to be.
But they did manage to get a few of their characters back, Spider-Man being one of the few we know of. They also have so much moolah stacked up now that they can risk playing off their very less known characters like Guardians of the Galaxy. Like who would have thought about them coming out of the confines of a comic to turn into a mainstream movie. And that’s not all. They happened to be one of the best movies of the year. That is pretty much a gamble that seemed to have worked too damn well.
So without wasting any more of your time, we bring you these very obscure superheroes from the Marvel universe you should know about.
- Adam Warlock: Adam is considered to be a Demigod in the Marvel universe but is actually a result of a Science experiment. The scientists who created him are called the Enclave. A synthetic Demigod? Yes, that happens only in Marvel. After his encounter with the true demigod of the Marvel Universe, he decides to journey the universe and redeem himself as a true demigod that he considers himself to be. He has an affiliation with Gamora, Thanos’ daughter, and fights against Magus (which is later revealed that Magus is just a future alteration of himself and hence Warlock fidgets with the timeline to rid off Magus). Adam is actually a very crucial character when it comes to the MCU. He can easily be the a profit maker if he ever managed to make it to the big screen.
2. The New Warriors: Just like the X-Men had a junior squad that held the baton for the seniors in the future, New Warriors is the junior team of Avengers. The founder of this team is Night Thrasher. The team is never privileged with substantiality and the lineup keeps changing. Do not mistake this team to be a bunch of newbies not knowing what they have signed up to as they happen to play quite an imperative role in the Civil War. The New Warrior twist could be an interesting plot for the Civil War sequel.
3. Morbius: The vampire of the Marvel Universe yet is hidden in the pages of oblivion. But he is so cool as a character that we want you to know about him at all costs. He may not be the blood sucking hero you watched in the Twilight series, but he is every bit badass. Morbius was a normal human, suffering from a rare blood disease (maybe that was something not so normal about him after all). Later, through some scientific experiments, he developed False-vampirism. Unlike the usual mystical one that we all know off. He turns into this grotesque bloodthirsty character always hunting for blood. In a universe so full of righteous day loving superheroes, a twist of vampirism would feel like fresh blood.
4. Cloak and Dagger: This dyad from the Marvel universe happened to meet in the esteemed city of New York. sooner than they realise they are disposed off forcefully with drugs. The exposure to this drug (which is a synthetic form of heroin), awoke the unknown powers in them. The guy, Ty (Cloak), is enveloped by Dark energy and commands the darkforce dimension. His other half, Tandy (Dagger) commands light and has the ability to create daggers that are actually made of light and also has healing powers. Much to everyone’s surprise (or maybe not), she can help people out with their addictions. What was once their liability has now turned to be their asset. Maybe a perfect example to the generation which unfortunately seems to be fancied by the needle that doing drugs ain’t the coolest thing. And no, drugs won’t change you to Cloak and Dagger. This is all fictional, remember?
5. Alpha Flight: This is actually a team hailing from the Maple leafed country of Canada. They are also called as the Canadian Avenger because, d’uh! They are a governmental organisation made to deal with baddies with superhuman capabilities. There exists a very unique character in the Alpha Flight team named Northstar, who happens to be the first ever Marvel character to have overtly accepted his gay origins. This team happens to have everything that is a requisite to a blockbuster-A heroic homosexual, a humongous mammal and a guy who can be deemed as the Captain Canada. We wonder what is stopping Marvel to get this character on screen already?
The Marvel universe spreads far and wide. And there may be too many characters waiting to enjoy their bit of fame among Marvel Maniacs. The list is super huge and is ever growing. But these are the most amazing ones you must know about. You never know, when they pop out of the comic pages to knock over your senses.
Watch out Marvel maniacs, for there is more than meets the eye.
