Early in my career, I worked for someone who pretty much required that you work his hours in the office — 6am to 6pm Monday through Friday and 6am to 12pm on Saturday. Working from home didn’t count.

Over my career, I’ve worked my share of all-nighters and traveled every week for years at a time. But that doesn’t mean it’s the only way.

I’ve worked remotely (mostly from home) for the past 10 years and I am more productive now than ever.

Learning to work efficiently and effectively is much better for both the worker and the company.
