Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS) — Professionals in all aspects

The Hong Kong Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS) is a global talent attraction scheme that aims to attract high-tech talents or talents with a good educational background to settle in Hong Kong and to enhance Hong Kong’s competitiveness in the global market. After meeting the basic qualifications, choose one of the 2 points systems according to your needs, the general people choose the General Points Test, and a few people choose the achievement-based Points Test!

📌Eligibility Criteria

Age: 18 years old or above;

Education: Graduation Certificate/Degree Certificate/Professional Qualification Certificate:

Financial Capacity: Sufficient to cover the first year’s living expenses for yourself and your dependents

Character: No criminal record, no reverse immigration record;

Achievement-based Points Test (APT): Applicants are required to have outstanding contributions/achievement awards in a certain field/industry, with a score of only 0 and 245 points, and only full scores eligible to apply, which is generally suitable for those film and television queens, Nobel Prizes, Olympic champions and other figures, not for ordinary people!

General Points Test (GPT): Applicants should award 80 out of 245 points based on seven aspects: age, language proficiency, education, work experience, talent list, financial capacity, and family situation. The key point is that the higher the score, the higher the approval, but related to the applicant’s academic qualification, industry nature, work experience, etc.

Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS) — Talents with Rich Work Experience or High Income

Top Talent Pass Scheme aims to attract high-end talents with rich work experience and high academic qualifications from all over the world, including high-income earners and undergraduate graduates from the world’s top universities, to enrich Hong Kong’s talent pool. Applicants are not required to have secured employment in Hong Kong in advance, they are permitted to stay in Hong Kong for 24 months without other conditions of stay if they meet the normal immigration requirements.

📌Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants who meet one of the following three categories can apply:

Category A: Individuals with an annual income of HK$2.5 million or above (or its equivalent in foreign currency) in the year immediately preceding the year before application (i.e. the 12 months immediately preceding the date of application);

Category B: Applicants who have obtained a bachelor’s degree from an eligible university and have accumulated at least three years of working experience within the 5 years immediately preceding their application;

Category C: Individuals who have obtained a bachelor’s degree from an eligible university within the 5 years immediately preceding the date of application but have less than 3 years of working experience; These applications are subject to annual quotas of 10,000 and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Suitable for: High-income individuals/entrepreneurs with an annual income of HK$ 2.5 million and talents with bachelor’s degrees from the world’s top 100 universities.

Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates (IANG) — Individuals who study in universities of Hong Kong

Students who are studying a full-time undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral degree in universities in Hong Kong are eligible to apply for Hong Kong resident status. After graduation, they can apply for an IANG visa to stay and work in Hong Kong under the Residence Scheme for Non-local Graduates, and candidates can apply to become Hong Kong permanent residents after a total of 7 years.

📌Eligibility Criteria

Age: The main applicant must be at least 18 years old

Education: bachelor’s degree or above (bachelor’s degree without degree, with many years of management experience)

Language: English proficiency or proof of English proficiency

Character: No criminal record, no bad entry record

Note: Studying in Hong Kong generally refers to those who complete a full-time course by physical visit in Hong Kong for graduate studies or doctoral studies, and then can apply for Hong Kong status in this way!

Suitable for: Individuals without rich work experience, but want to get a Hong Kong identity or go to Hong Kong for postgraduate studies

General Employment Policy (GEP) — Skilled professionals with special

Applicants who possess special skills, knowledge, or experience of value to and not readily available in the HKSAR may apply to come to work under the GEP.

📌Eligibility Criteria

Character: No criminal record, no reverse immigration record

Academic: the applicant has a good educational background, normally a first degree in the relevant field; and good technical qualifications, and proven professional abilities supported by documents are also accepted

Job: there is a genuine job vacancy

Employment: the applicant has a confirmed offer of employment and is employed in a job relevant to his academic qualifications or work experience that cannot be readily taken up by the local workforce;

Payment: the remuneration package including income, accommodation, medical, and other fringe benefits is broadly commensurate with the prevailing market level for professionals in the Hong Kong SAR

Suitable for: Individuals who have special skills in their industries.

Capital Investment Entrant Scheme — HNW or Foreign Investor

Hong Kong New Capital Investment Entrant Scheme aims to further enrich the talent pool and attract more capital to Hong Kong, which enhances the development advantages of Hong Kong’s asset and wealth management, financial, and related professional services sectors.

📌Eligibility Criteria

Age: 18 years old or above

Scope of the scheme:

✔Foreign nationals;

✔Chinese nationals who have obtained permanent resident status in a foreign country;

✔Macao Special Administrative Region residents; or ✔Chinese residents of Taiwan

Net assets

The applicant has net assets or net equity to which he/she is beneficially entitled with a market value of not less than HK$30 million Net (or equivalent in foreign currencies) throughout the two years preceding the application.

Investment in permissible investment assets

Invest not less than HK$30 million Net (or equivalent in foreign currencies) in the permissible investment assets, including stock, debt, non-residential real estate, funds, and CIES Investment Portfolio (CIES IP)

No adverse record: No adverse immigration record

Others: Applicants are capable of supporting and accommodating himself/herself and his/her dependents.

Suitable for: Wealthy people who are keen on investment and are optimistic about the Hong Kong market.
