Trend Alert! Mix-Matched African Prints

One of the biggest trends on any Fashion Week, aside from the actual cuts and the colors, is the existence of prints. We see all types of prints appear on that runway, with all different ideals by each artist as to how best one captures the imagination on fabrics of all types.

Up until a few years ago mixing prints was a massive faux-pas, as were unmatched shoes-bags-belts a century ago, and as always, people really get stuck on what’s comfortable and easy to do, rather than explore a domain — fashion — that they really do find unappealing.

It is always fun and trendy to mix colours and prints, more so when you are doing it with the vibrant fabric of Our very own African Prints. You can virtually mix your African Print fabrics with African Print fabrics of different colours or patterns. This mix and match is whats trending these days and we are loving every style we see it in! Be it in dress, pants, maxi gown, bikinis, blazers, skirts, pencil gowns, or a cape dress, the African Prints mix looks absolutely fabulous.

This way of using prints is simply refreshing plus It does all the speaking for you. Yes, it makes a statement for you. It describes you as a fashionable woman/man who doesn’t play with his/her appearance. Now who wouldn’t want to be described as such?

It’s really hard to get enough of the versatility of these fabrics, I mean, almost anything goes with them. So why be conservative? Try using those tiny bits of fabrics that you have that can’t sew a complete gown or skirt as starters, it doesn’t really have to go to waste, just gather them up and get creative!

There are some fashion-girl trends that even the most style adept have trouble mastering with total confidence. the print-on-print-on-(sometimes)-print trend, which combines two or more patterns to exuberant effect can be especially daunting. Good news is, It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to master the art of mixing and matching.you don’t have to have a stylist’s eye to pull off this seemingly tricky look. Once you learn a few simple tricks of the trade — and a lot of attitude, you’ll be pairing patterns like an expert in no time. We promise, it’s easier than it looks. So, get ready to pile on the prints and hit the ground running. Soon, you’ll be leaving the Fashion Week peacocks in the dust.

PS: When trying this out be careful to match materials that go together or have the same color hue. And wear comfortable heels in shades similar to your outfit for a perfect look.
