A startup is not for someone looking for a job, it’s for someone on a mission.
The darkest hour is just before the dawn. For many startups, dawn doesn’t happen.
It’s therefore crucial that every member of the startup family to stand strong togther, to have a central guiding mission for everyone to aspire to achieve.
Fixir started off as a simple project to help drivers find reliable car workshops. Over the past months, we’ve spoken to dozens of car workshops and hundreds of drivers to constantly improve our offering.
We do get our fair share of rejections and if we’ve chosen to give up then, the automotive industry will remain status quo, with many drivers distrusting car workshops and reliable workshops being unfairly branded.
Today, we’ll like to share with you Fixir’s vision, mission and what we stand for. If you see the same problems as we do, if you agree to the values we stand by, and if you are compelled to make a difference, join us.

Our Vision
Bridging the gap between drivers and workshops
Our Mission
To bring fairness and transparency to the automotive industry
What Fixir Stands For
Integrity
Integrity is the cornerstone for every business. Fixir was borne because we felt that the industry can be improved in areas of transparency and fairness. To achieve that, we’ll never compromise on integrity.
As the Golden Rule says, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Whenever there seems to be a decision that borders on the line of ethicalness, just ask yourself, “If our positions are switched, will I accept the information/explanation knowing all the facts behind it?”
Fixir must stand for the morally right way of conducting any dealings.
Caring
With the fast pace of life, it’s easy to stop caring because caring is tedious, exhausting and time-consuming. But caring is what makes us human, what makes us connect on a deeper level.
Work in Fixir will get tough, and it will be tempting to stop caring. When you find a co-worker doing that, immediately alert him/her and help him/her care again by first showing care.
What are the circumstances that caused this person to stop caring? How can I help this person to elevate the stress he/she is facing? Ask these questions and lend a listening ear.
In Fixir, we’ll also care about our relationships with all stakeholders, mainly our drivers, our car workshops and our strategic partners. Always make things easier for them because your efforts will help to build long lasting relationships.
Trusting
Trust is difficult to build and easy to lose. And it’s a challenge to trust someone you just met. But in Fixir, we’ll do that. Give everyone and anyone you meet your 100% trust because if you don’t, the relationship will be dysfunctional from the onset.
It’s okay if your trust has been misplaced. There are more good people in the world. It’s just a matter of time when the statistics work in your favour.
Open & Frequent Communication
Teams break down not because of a lack of skillset, but a lack of communication. A lack of communication is the number one reason for misunderstandings to occur. When misunderstandings manifest, we will start to push blame and have a fall in motivation and productivity. Let’s not let it happen.
At any point of them when you feel that another member in the team is not rising to the occasion or shrinking from responsibility, confront the person. Confront in a way not to blame but to understand why.
Have a member complain to you about another team member? Help to bring them together to sort things out.
And don’t bottle issues within yourself. It will kill you slowly but surely.
Accountability
Know that your work matters and everything you do inches Fixir a step forward. By having the drive to do good work and be recognised for that, you’ll find your life more accomplished.
To be accountable is also to let others know what you’ve working on so that everyone or anyone can chip in to help. We’ll all in this together so let’s help each other out.
Willingness to Improve and Work Hard
Fixir will always remain a learning company. There are endless things to learn and the day we think we know it all is the day Fixir will start to fall.
Be hungry for knowledge, be willing to learn from others, have an open mind.
Let’s work hard together to make our dreams a reality.
