FlipNpik CEO Henri Harland is, indeed, a man of many talents. The Canada-born entrepreneur has built up a vast bank of skills, qualifications and experience over the past four decades that make him the ideal man to lead FNP towards an exciting future.

The holder of an actuarial science degree and an MBA in Finance, Henri has travelled widely and gained knowledge through innovation in Canada and France. He is the founder of Neptune Technologies & Bioresources, an expert in public funding and he also taught finance for 15 years at HEC Montreal and Université du Quebec.

Henri has participated in the listings of several companies he has been involved with on the stock market, but his main strengths lie in innovative projects that change the way people think and operate.

For instance, his vision and entrepreneurial spirit was the inspiration behind one of his companies becoming the first to extract and therapeutically exploit krill oil — a natural alternative to fish oil.

One of Henri’s main passions is creating and sharing value, hence becoming the CEO of Fliptech (FlipNpik Worldwide), who, of course, launched the first collaborative social media for local businesses operating in a Blockchain ecosystem.

This is Henri’s current and, he believes, most exciting role yet.

So, what came before?

From 2015 to 2017, Henri was the Chairman of Geekco Technologies, based in Canada. There, he developed business strategies, created teams and advised young entrepreneurs. This role came after a hugely successful spell with Neptune Technologies & Bioressources Inc., the company he founded in 1994 and was CEO of until 2013.

It was with Montreal-based Neptune that the process of krill oil extraction was developed — a huge breakthrough and an alternative to fish oil.

Between 1985 and 1997, Henri travelled the world as a freelance Senior Advisor, creating strategies and financing for several different French companies ranging from recreational projects to entrepreneurial start-ups from their initial financing, forming their business models before listing on the stock exchange.

From 1991 to 1996 he had been Vice President of SignalGene, a biotech company he helped list in the stock market. He has also been a freelance Chief Financial Officer in Quebec and taught finance for 12 years as the University of Quebec and Montreal.

Quite a career, we’re sure you’d agree!
