Floown Went FEST!

Early July 2015 Floown founder and film enthusiast Olaf Jacobson attended FEST in Portugal to spread the word about the launch of our platform and enjoy the nice surroundings that the south European country has to offer. With the sun high up in the air and enough drinks on site, the international festival in Espinho served as a perfect backdrop to talk films, directing and the potential of platforms like Floown to help facilitate a smooth production.

Espinho itself is a warm happy village with many interesting people and sights. The laid back town touching the Atlantic ocean was a great location for an intimate small festival like FEST. During the day it seemed like not so many people lived in Espinho, and the only real place to be was the beach — where it was perfect for surf fanatics — or at the many classes, sessions and other events that were taking place. At night however, it seems like the whole town gathered in the Casino located in the center of the City, where (in the basement) the feature films were screened. After the films were over, the bar at the beach served as a great meeting place to talk about the events of the day with the many nice people attending the festival.
