At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kimi Weintraub would stumble upon something unexpected: the inspiration for a successful startup. Little did she know that her young business would have five eager investors on a Clubhouse pitch contest throwing deals at her.

Kimi is a full-time spokesmodel and commercial model who has built a career in the entertainment industry. She has worked as a voice actor, singer, fashion model, commercial actress, radio DJ, and host. For Kimi, 2020’s worldwide pandemic has helped her add two more skills to her arsenal — business owner and e-commerce expert. In the middle of the pandemic, Kimi would turn her industry-weathered confidence, connections, and a keen sense of awareness into a full-blown company that helps other businesses make the shift to digital selling.

What started as a raw idea and a fresh profile on the new and exclusive social media platform, Clubhouse, has now skyrocketed to unprecedented heights. With multiple successful projects and an overwhelming number of incoming clients, Kimi states, “I was marketing the business casually since COVID began but did a soft launch last month since joining the new and exclusive Clubhouse app, and now I can’t even handle the requests.”

After taking her brand to new levels, Kimi would enter Pitch Tank, a Clubhouse pitch event that followed the format of the all-popular television program, Shark Tank. On January 20, 2021, Kimi would join over 2,000 business owners in an attempt to win over investors by showcasing their businesses. The entrepreneur was the sixth business to pitch. And while all five prior presenters failed to get a deal, she ended up receiving offers from five-panel members, including original Shark Tank investor Kevin Harrington who even expressed interest in offering her a role in his company.

Ultimately, Kimi would accept the offer of Akemi Sue Fisher, an investor who is also known as the “Amazon Queen,” for building a $2 billion e-commerce company on the popular selling site. Kimi chose Akemi not only for their perfect match professionally but for their personal connection and similar Japanese American heritage. To date, Kimi and Akemi have discussed the strategy to start setting up the business for expansion and growth throughout 2021 and beyond.

Kimi Weintraub has worked with many of the globe’s most well-known companies, including brands like Disney, the Orlando Magic, BMW, Audi, Infiniti, The Humane Society, Invicta Watches, iHeartRadio, YMCA, and many others. She has turned a freelance stint into a thriving digital commerce company. Now, along with working a slew of spokesmodeling, voice acting, and hosting jobs, she also focuses on her production company creating high-quality photos and videos for e-commerce sales.

The rising entrepreneur completely understands the importance of confidence and passion in turning one’s dream into a reality. She hopes that her story will inspire other individuals and companies to keep pushing forward amidst challenges and failures. “If you believe in yourself and truly put yourself out there, you cannot lose,” declares Kimi.

Kimi Weintraub looks forward to taking her business to new levels with her new partner, Akemi Sue Fisher. To learn more about Kimi, visit her website and Instagram profile.
