Draft Rumor Mill

As the NFL draft comes closer and closer rumors continue to spread. The hottest topic for the Eagles is whether or not they will trade up to get Oregon quarterback and Heisman trophy winner Marcus Mariota. Mariota is loved by many teams and the Eagles would most likely have to move up into the top 5 of the draft to acquire him. A trade of that magnitude would require the Eagles giving up either a lot of draft picks or some big time players. This begs the question “is Mariota worth mortaging the Eagles future”? The Eagles have already made a trade to acquire former Rams quarterback Sam Bradford. Is Bradford really the future of the Eagles or does Chip Kelly have a different plan in mind? I believe that the Eagles believe Bradford can be an effective quarterback and is truly the future for the Eagles. I don’t look for the Eagles to mortgage their future by taking a chance on Mariota. I believe the Eagles have too many other needs and will take care of these needs via the draft. I especially look for the Eagles to draft a corner and wide reciever in the first 2 rounds of the draft.
