This post is priority and I had to do it today because this is a big day for me. As part of my Fortyby40 challenge I had decided at the beginning of the year that I would put in a minimum of 1000 miles of running this year. Its sounds simple but in reality its not! I knew that I had to put in about 90–100 miles per month under all conditions — snow, rain, sun, sick days, holidays and injuries to complete this one. So after miles and miles of running this year, the big day is finally here. I can say this — On November 23, 2016 I completed 1000 miles of running for the year 2016! Yay, I am so grateful.

Today was the last 10 miles and I chose to complete the challenge in one of my very favourite locations — Highgate Wood. The route is tricky and given we had heavy rain the last few days, the path was muddy and gave a true track feeling. That being said, its one of the beautiful places to run in. I had to document today for its bigger than everything, so here are a few images at Highgate Wood:

My trusted Garmin has been my loyal friend and companion all these months and has documented each and every run. So here it is, 1000 miles in 2016 and so pleased this challenge was a part of my Fortyby40
