Race 54, The 401 Festival of Running, Half Marathon, August 26, 2017
Race 54, and Half Marathon done this morning. I can’t believe it, this will be my last half marathon in my 30s. I turn 40 on Tuesday and if I look back what a journey this has been. Over the past 3 years, Fortyby40 done and here I am at race 54. I have found Me through running, learnt to believe in myself, slay my demons and keep reaching further….it’s a great place to be at my 40th Birthday and for this I am very grateful to running, my soulmate and friend. Over the years, I’ve discovered that, my favourite distance is a Half Marathon. I feel I’m born to run this distance.

I’m running three races organised by the 401 Festival of Running to celebrate my 40th Birthday. Today was race 1 — the Half Marathon. Its a gorgeous day in London, really hot and bright and great to be out on the run. I did a really great route running through three parks and back — Primrose Hill, Regents Park and Hyde Park. Some images of the route today:

Garmin stats: Slower pace and run as I wanted to enjoy and capture each moment of this run.

I also want to share my medal from the July 2017 100 miles challenge:
