Run and Become

One of the best running stores I’ve been to in London is Run and Become. They are specialists in running and have the best techniques to figure out your natural gait and fit the perfect pair of shoes. I’ve been to them a couple of times. When I initially started running a couple of years ago, I was hooked onto Asics and then Run and Become fit me with the Brooks Glycerin 12. I change my shoes after 500/600 miles of running so almost every 5 months. 3 pairs of Brooks Glycerin 12 later, I decided I needed a change. Brooks has also now stopped production of Glycerin 12 and moved onto 13 and 14, so I went back yesterday for a new fitting.

I tried on the Brooks Glycerin 14, but the lady who was helping me suggested the Brooks Ghost 8 and made me run in both. I must admit that I liked the Ghost 8 as it felt lighter. I ran quite a bit in them and decided to get a pair. I was also told that the Ghost 8 has better cushioning and I’m really excited to try them on my next run. Being in a running store for me is like giving candy to a child, so I also picked up a new running pouch and a hat!

If you are ever in London and need to get fitted for a new pair of running shoes definitely pop into the Run and Become Store in Victoria. I highly recommend it.
