Meshuggah Makes Metal Sound Boring

99% of metal becomes boring after listening to Meshuggah and it seems I’m not the only one who feels this way (https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1202311). Nothing feels as brutal and dynamic enough. Initially I thought Meshuggah was the worst shit metal band that I have ever heard… it didn’t come across as music to my ears, it was just noise. But now I am madly in love with it… it really takes a while to realize what is so amazing about it. To acquire the taste. I find the only way to describe it is with the analogy of jazz music. In jazz there is a certain acquired taste that is realized from the degree at which you stop trying to follow along with it the same way you follow along with most music that your used to, you just feel it, accept it, and the rest will open up, and like jazz, there is a special relaxed feeling about resting your musical ear and letting the music flow in somewhat of an unpredictable manner. The result is unmatched. This is the same concept with Meshuggah, and after you realize this… nothing feels as heavy, dark, and relaxing at the same time. It is an obsessive and incredible feeling https://play.spotify.com/artist/3ggwAqZD3lyT2sbovlmfQY
