We all want to stand out and have a voice, build a brand “they” say.
But how?
By being authentic and sharing your story “they” say.
But how can you actually be authentic and share your story where people actually care?
That’s where things get vague.
There’s a whole market just in this niche of “how to be authentic”. And it’s a bit opportunistic in my opinion.
You have course creators, coaches and digital products. You have secret systems, frameworks and membership groups. Any one of these could help you, depending on the person or people behind it.
Are they genuine? Do they care about you or their profits?
It’s hard to see this in the online world where we are hit with so many messages and pitches.
Before you look outside for help, look inside for direction
We are quick to seek out answers to our challenges externally. But I think the path there will be less challenging and less expensive if we start by looking inside.
Ask yourself:
- Why do I care about doing this?
- Who am I doing this for?
- What are my core values?
When you start to uncover why, who and what is driving you, then you can start understanding your direction and who you are trying to serve.
I am intentionally saying serve instead of sell.
When we shift our mindset to look at our prospects and clients as a group of people we want to serve, we allow ourselves to show up authentically.
