It’s not me. It’s you.

Your value, your frame of mind is unique. You already hold all the answers to your biggest challenges within your system already, whether you’re an individual or a huge multinational corporation. If there are challenges that remain, there’s likely to be a significant benefit to maintaining the status quo -otherwise arguably you’d have solved them a long, long time ago.

Value (just as beauty) lies in the eye of the beholder. Some people want to hire consultants to come in to ‘fix’ the problem, believing that the ‘problem’ is a function of something ‘out there’ in the big wide world: The economy; the present incumbent of the office of President of the US; The policies of the current government; Consumer confidence. [Insert any other circumstance]. Has that ever really solved the actual problem or has it simply addressed a ‘symptom’ for which no small amount of capital was spent, and yet the fundamental challenge remains? Have you resigned yourselves to creating work-arounds to manage the problem to ‘acceptable’ levels?

As you wish. But my curiosity begs me to wonder: Until when?

How will you know it’s time to make the real change? Just how bad does it have to get before you’re prepared to address the fundamental root cause of the problem?

Only you can answer those questions. And even then, you’ll likely be first instructed, tempted or required to exhaust every possible lead, opportunity and previous consultant you’ve ever sought to help you before you seek out an unheard of independent covert and contrarian operation who have no traceable presence, who don’t broadcast or shout the loudest, who never disclose who they’ve worked with. (It’s none of your business, nor is it relevant). Your innate ingenuity is yours. Our low profile is a choice, hiding in plain sight. We’re going to challenge you and your thinking. We’re going to ask searching and sometimes deeply uncomfortable questions. We’re not your ‘Yes men’. We specifically but transparently keep ourselves hiding in plain sight. We have no debt. We have no shareholders. We are answerable to no-one. How dare we? Who on earth do we think we are?
