It is clear that the MCU is doing quite well and has no plans of slowing down any time soon. So I thought I’d take a stab at ranking the current releases.

16) Thor: The Dark World

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 66%, Average Rating: 6.2/107

This movie is honestly a turd. I’m surprised it’s ranked as high as it is on Rotten Tomatoes. I feel like it should be more in the Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad range. Definitely the worst movie in the MCU.

15) The Incredible Hulk

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 67%, Average Rating: 6.2/10

This is not a good movie. Particularly being released on the heels of Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk falls flat. And then there’s the part where Edward Norton got replaced by Mark Ruffalo for the Avengers.

14) Iron Man 2

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 72%, Average Rating: 6.5/10

A sequel that is a huge let down. Black Widow is introduced and Don Cheadle takes over as Rhodes. A messy film that doesn’t even come close to matching the first.

13) Thor

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 77%, Average Rating: 6.7/10

A decent origin film. Not much else to be said really. Felt really stock.

12) Doctor Strange

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 90%, Average Rating: 7.3/10

Iron Man with magic but without the magic of Iron Man…if that makes sense. Much like Thor, Doctor Strange felt really stock. Rotten Tomatoes score far too high.

11) Avengers: Age of Ultron

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 75%, Average Rating: 6.7/10

A definite let down as well. Can never quite match up to the first.

10) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 82%, Average Rating: 7.1/10

A small let down compared to the original, particularly in the soundtrack department. Better ending than the first though.

9) Ant-Man

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 81%, Average Rating: 6.8/10

Just a fun movie. Not great, not bad, just good. Great chemistry between the cast.

8) Guardians of the Galaxy

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 91%, Average Rating: 7.8/10

A fun watch for the chemistry between the cast members and the soundtrack but lacking story-wise and one of the worst endings I’ve seen.

7) Spider-Man: Homecoming

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 92%, Average Rating: 7.6/10

A fresh take on a character that’s been done now 3 times in the past 15+ years. Tom Holland is the best Peter Parker yet.

6) Iron Man 3

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 79%, Average Rating: 7/10

I know a lot of people were mad about the villain reveal in this movie, but ultimately I don’t think it took away from the actual story. It really delves into Tony’s struggles post-Avengers and sets up the course in Age of Ultron.

5) Captain America: The First Avenger

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 80%, Average Rating: 7/10

An origin story done right. Proper character development and a good story.

4) Iron Man

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 94%, Average Rating: 7.7/10

The first movie in the MCU and the best origin story they’ve done to date. Across the board, this is a solid movie.

3) Marvel’s The Avengers

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 92%, Average Rating: 8/10

The movie that catapulted the MCU to the forefront of the film & entertainment industry.

2) Captain America: Civil War

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 90%, Average Rating: 7.6/10

Intense, action packed, fully stocked with more characters than anyone could possibly need, and yet it works really well.

1) Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 89%, Average Rating: 7.6/10

One of those times where the sequel really is better than the original. The action sequences and fight choreography are fantastic. All around it’s a great film.

There we have it. Those are my rankings of the MCU movies released to date. Pce.
