I’d say you missed the point just as much as the guy who bought CK’s rifle in admiration. Like anything else going to war is a cost calculation exercise. Nobody going into combat or advocating for war gets away scot free. War is necessary at times, but even when the benefits outweigh the costs, the bill still comes and it gets paid in lives, limbs, and other things. Eastwood was simply stacking up the ledger and showing both sides.
