Living By Faith

I read this on Facebook a few days ago and it caught my attention. Do I truly live by faith?

Talking about faith and living by faith, in my opinion, are two different things. Anyone can talk about faith but fewer are brave enough to live by faith.

My family has been in the position of trusting our Lord and our faith in him to just survive several years ago. We actually are still living in this manner. Is it always walking around with a positive attitude? I wish it were. As for me, it is usually falling on my face and seeking the Lord to provide, which, is a humble way to live.

Honestly, I tend to be closer to the Lord when I remain humble. This is probably true for most of us, right?

Have you ever read Hebrews chapter 11? I heard it preached by a young college student one time comparing this chapter to an ESPN highlight clip and it has stuck in my head ever since. See, this chapter mentions people from the past and their faith they had in God. “By faith Abel" “By faith Enoch" “By faith Noah" “By faith Abraham" and the list goes on.

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

How many of us give up before we reach the end of this verse? Do we believe that God is a rewarder of diligence or do we think the sacrifice is to great to continue?

Faith has been my stronghold in many cases in my life. Not that God needed to, but, he has proven his love for me over and over again. I can not praise him enough for his love for me.

Please don’t let your faith waiver over a temporary situation. He loves you and desires a relationship with you.

Jude 1:3 …ye should earnestly contend for the faith…

Don’t give up! Above all else keep your faith! 💚

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
