That’s totally right. Although making judgments out of comparisons between PHP frameworks and Node.js ones are pretty silly in my humble opinion, the performance gap is gigantic anyway. That’s something to be worried about.
We already know that practically any Node.JS app would perform better than most PHP-based ones, also, MySQL drivers’ performance between environments may differ a lot, that’s something to take in mind.
But 500 requests per second on a 12 CPU / 32 GB server for just a “hello world” response, is ridiculous.

Once again, the point here shouldn’t be a “Laravel vs…” but “Best PHP framework (fm) vs BEST Node.js FM vs BEST Python FM, etc…” and yet, the question is, *is Laravel the best PHP framework performance-wise?*
