I’ve spent a lot of time lately honing in on the few things that I want to spend my time on. The things that make me happiest. But I still have those urges to try a totally new hobby, skill, or experience. Today I decided I wanted to play around with videography.
But video is intimidating. There’s expensive equipment. Schools and online courses to improving. And most amateur footage is crap. Where do you even start? Well, for me today, I first realized I had a perfectly good camera in my pocket. And I just started taking video. Nothing too exciting — in fact, I was pretty embarrassed about doing it constantly, but it got easier as I went.
Maybe it’ll amount to nothing, maybe it’ll become a new obsession. The point is that some days, you need to follow your whims and try something for the hell of it. You never know where your curiosity might lead.
