It’s been a really good week.
This week, I had one goal set and that was to lose 2 lbs on the scale. More on that later.
You know how I’ve constantly said that my water intake has been severely lacking?
Not this week. Most days, I got close to a gallon of water a day. Some days were over a gallon. I was very happy with getting water in this week. It made a huge difference when it came to how I felt and performance in my workouts.
My food was on track this week. I’ve been working toward staying right on my budget or just below it.
This week, I made this turkey stir fry with peppers and onions on a bed of brown rice for dinner. I really enjoyed it. I’m actually eating it as I’m writing this blog post.❤️
Workouts are going very well. After last week’s small loss, I realized that cardio was severely lacking. I’m slowly increasing the cardio time as much as I can.
I even got back on the spin bike.
I haven’t been on one since October and it was a hell of a workout. I may rotate it from time to time.
I’ve also been slowly incorporating jump rope into my cardio routine. I want to get better at it so I’m going to practice on getting better at it in May.
So, how did the weigh in go on Wednesday?
For the past two weigh-ins, I’ve been pushing for 2 lbs lost on the scale. I’ve fallen short twice until this week.
I nailed it. 2 lbs lost!
Currently, I weigh 307.2 lbs. That’s 26.4 lbs lost since January. It’s not a huge number to most but it’s a lot for me.
It represents the long wait and struggle that I’ve had trying to lose weight again. I know that this path is currently working so I’m going to continue down it.
I still have a long way to go.
My lowest weight has been 192 lbs. I don’t think I want to go back there. I was all loose skin and no muscle. I think I will shoot for an overall goal of 215 lbs on the scale. That sounds like a good number to shoot for.
So, I have another 92.2 lbs to go until I hit my goal. I’ll be there before I know it.
