Happy Friday everyone!

Another week down and an another weekend to look forward to. How was your week?

Today, I have a hodgepodge of things that I’ve enjoyed over the past week. I want to share a few of them with you today!

Let’s get into it, shall we?

1. Kendrick Lamar

Last week, I mentioned that I had been listening to a lot of Logic’s albums. The same day that I posted the last Five Things Friday, Kendrick Lamar came out with his new album, DAMN.

I’ve been listening to it all week in it’s entirety. I really like it. I’m not a huge rap fan but I’ve found myself listening to the genre more and more over the past couple of months.

I really like Kendrick’s new album. There’s a lot of references to religion and how it intercepts with a lot of the things that are happening in the world today.

At least that’s how I interpreted the album.

Lamar hasn’t put out an album that I’ve been disappointed with yet. Give it a listen.

2. Better Call Saul

I was patiently waiting for the new season of Better Call Saul to come out after that cliffhanger from last season. This new season has been a slow burn with only two episodes being aired as of this blog post.

I have high hopes for the show especially being a huge fan of Breaking Bad. This prequel/sequel is good and I hope it gets better.

So far, it’s a slow start.

3. Riverdale

I can honestly say that I had no intention of watching The CW’s Riverdale. It wasn’t something that I was really interested in watching.

I will say that I do watch all the other comic book shows on the CW so I knew I may have gotten sucked into watching it.

So, it happened.

The show is really well done. I honestly thought that I was going to hate a reimagined version of Archie comics.

The show has gone beyond my expectations and I watch every week. The mystery of who killed a certain character is still a huge focal point of the season so far.

The development of the characters of the show throughout the season all have kept me interested. I hope the show doesn’t do a nosedive at the end of the season. So far, it’s on my must watch list of TV.

4. HEB Drink Mix To Go

I’ve said this for several weeks now, but I’m horrible with getting water in everyday.

So, I’ve been using an aid recently to get at least another 20oz of water in a day.

I usually take one of these HEB drink mixes after lunch because my water intake plummets after that point. It’s also good to have something other than just water.

I think it’s helping with the water though.

5. Sony XB650BT Wireless Headphones

I bought these headphones after breaking yet another pair of wired headphones. Most of the time, the old headphones break from wire fraying.

So, I decided to buy some wireless headphones instead.

I will say that I’ve always be weary of buying wireless because I listen to music constantly. I was concerned that my iPhone 6 would die quicker.

I really haven’t had a problem with these headphones though.

The battery life on them is pretty incredible. I’ve only charged them once and that was after a solid two weeks of use.

I bought these on sale and they are well worth the purchase. I may be spoiled now and will probably never buy wired headphones again.

That’s all I have for this week. I hope you have a great weekend and come back tomorrow for more great reads on the blog.

Until next time…
