Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou will go head to head in the boxing ring this weekend, in a unique heavyweight clash. Fury reigns as WBC heavyweight champion, while Ngannou will be making his boxing debut and fighting for the first time since leaving the UFC.

Fury and Ngannou will be making their ringwalks at approximately 5:40 p.m. ET/2:40 p.m. PT, while the main card is due to begin at 1 p.m. ET/10a.m. PT.
The Cameroonian retained the UFC heavyweight title last year before ultimately giving up the gold in January and joining the Professional Fighters League this spring. Ngannou, 37, will make his promotional debut with the MMA company in 2024, but first, he crosses into boxing to face Fury.
The self-styled Gypsy King has made plenty of headlines recently after his undisputed heavyweight title fight against Oleksandr Usyk fell through earlier this year. Since then, he has become a Netflix star through At Home with the Furys and agreed to take on Ngannou in a fight that few could have predicted at the start of the year.
Ngannou was the UFC Heavyweight Champion throughout 2021 and 2022, but vacated the title after contract talks collapsed with officials. He is now aiming to carve out a professional boxing career.
The clash has drawn a fair amount of criticism from fans who wanted Fury to take on Oleksandr Usyk. However, negotiations for that fight broke down as did a potential Battle of Britain meeting with heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua.
Fury will instead square off with former UFC heavyweight superstar Ngannou under professional boxing rules in a bout being billed as the ‘Battle Of The Baddest’. ‘The Predator’ is making his first outing inside a boxing ring since his release from Dana White’s company in January.
