Top Three Blogging Platforms

Blogging is this generation’s new favorite way to be your own boss and share your expertise with the world. Whether your specialty is fashion, DIY or technology, blogging has allowed for some writers to make a six-figure salary or just serve as a creative outlet. Many bloggers in Utah and all over the country have found success in the blogging world by creating content marketing toward those that also have a passion in the same niche, but which blogging platform works best?
Blogger
Google’s blog-hosting site Blogger is quite popular because it is free with a Gmail account. Although the graphics are fairly basic, large companies like Twitter use Blogger as their own blogging platform for content marketing.
This platform has a large community and allows you to publish from anywhere. You are also given the capability to track traffic to your site.
WordPress
Wordpress is a simple platform that provides free software and does not require any coding knowledge. Wordpress is the most popular platform for people that blog for a living. Rachel Parcell, based out of Utah and the writer of the blog Pink Peonies, switched over from Blogger to Wordpress. Pink Peonies is not the only large fashion blogger to make the switch and has approximately 60 million users providing content marketing for viewers everywhere.
Tumblr
Although Wordpress reigns supreme for Utah fashion bloggers, Tumblr has over 152 million active users and bodes best for photography, music and video blogs and takes a refreshing approach to blogging. Tumblr’s clean interface allows for the content to be the focus rather than having a lot of tools and other options that take the focus away from what is most important.
Tumblr is favored over younger demographics and is more of a place for interacting and sharing over Blogger and Wordpress. This platform makes it really easy and fast for users to rapidly share content and is definitely in a different ballgame than the other two platforms.
