Connecting With Stay-At-Home Moms Through Internet Marketing

Who would you say spends the most time on social media? Men? Women? Teens? Social media is a great place to kill some time, post about your life, and get updates on the lives of others. Even though a lot of people spend their fair share of time on social media, there is one group in particular that typically finds social media very appealing: stay-at-home moms.
Granted, not all stay-at-home moms love social media, but those who do have access to a lot of information and tips relating to the things pertinent to their life. Platforms like Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram are great places for stay-at-home moms because it allows them to share and store pictures of their children, find new design ideas for their home, or share new recipes with other people. With so many stay-at-home moms spending a lot of time online, its no surprise that marketing companies from Utah to the East Coast have begun to focus on this group with their internet marketing methods.
For those marketing companies that want their content to appeal to stay-at-home moms from Utah to across the nation, there are a few marketing techniques that have proven to be helpful.
One popular technique is to make content with a strong emotional appeal to generate a powerful emotional response. For example, Google Chrome created an advertisement called Dear Sophie that involved a man documenting his little girl’s life from birth and then storing all the videos and images though the services Google has to offer. He then shares all the files with her on her 18th birthday. Advertisements like these will tug at anyone’s heartstrings, but how could stay-at-home mothers not relate to the sentimental cuteness behind the advertisement?
Stay-at-home moms in Utah and everywhere else are busy; despite what one may think, they have a lot to do every day. Marketing companies should make sure that their ads are short and to the point. Anything over 30 or 45 seconds can seem a little daunting to those who have a lot going on or have short attention spans (which we all do).
Marketing companies that make sure their advertisements show the reality behind the hard work and important role of stay-at-home moms can create a stronger connection with this audience in Utah and across the nation.
