Movie Homes that Deserve a Second Look

Throughout the history of film, there have been plenty of movies with a house prominently featured. Whether it is the outside or inside of the home, there are plenty of people who would love to get a hold of one of these homes, especially if they were for sale with the “horror-movie discount.”

‘Poltergeist’

Sadly, this house isn’t available anymore since the house was sucked into the ground because of an evil spirit from the Indian burial grounds the house was built on. The land that the house sat on would probably go for a discount price, though.

‘Home Alone’

Mortgage companies and lenders would probably have no problem getting a big family into the house from “Home Alone,” especially if it came with little Macaulay Culkin.

‘Disturbia’

This one might be a little bit of a tougher sale, since there was a murderer close by. The neighbor was a bit of a “Peeping Tom” as well, but leave that problem to the real estate agent.

‘Paranormal Activity’

Another tough sell. Instead of a snoopy neighbor, there are demons in the house. Maybe mortgage companies could offer lower interest rates for that house.

‘Halloween’

Another movie to feature some sort of demonic presence, real estate agents would have a tough time getting people into the home, but at least it looks nice.

‘The Shining’

Mortgage companies and lenders love it when homes sell and properties. However, they hate it when properties (in “The Shining’s” case, a hotel) are damaged by deranged psychopaths scare all the homeowners away.

‘The Amityville Horror’

The real estate agent, mortgage companies and lenders all gave the family quite the bargain, but it is still terrifying to think of living in a home where a murder was committed.

‘Batman’

No way would mortgage companies or lenders have to slash prices or interest rates to get someone into the Wayne manor. Maybe they could even find a few Batman relics on the property to make it worth it.
