Music Videos that Star the Ford F150

The truck has become a symbol of blue-collar freedom to the country music scene, from Utah to North Carolina. Scores of country songs have written about them, whether the singers are hooking up in the bed, going on an off-roading adventure or bringing kegs to a parking lot party, trucks are here to stay. Let’s take a look at some of the best videos that star the Ford F150.

Luke Bryan “We Rode in Trucks”

Luke gets sentimental in this song about growing up in a small town, “The sun sets slow and the stars shine bright. Where I grew up, we rode in trucks.” Folks from rural Utah will be able to relate, as Luke sings about “huntin’ and fishin’ and football games. Then it was girls, and everything changed, in our lives, Fallin’ in and out of love, we rode in trucks.” The video beautifully depicts small town America, juxtaposed with scenes of Luke Bryan putting on a rural concert flanked by about twenty trucks. A lot of Ford F150s from the 90s in this video. Must have been the kind of truck Luke grew up with.

Lee Brice “I Drive Your Truck”

In this touching song, Brice tells a beautiful story about a friend that died in the war. Lee has left the truck exactly as his friend left it, “89 cents in the dashboard and half-empty bottle of Gatorade rolling in the floorboard” The video shows Lee in his friend’s old Ford as a way to cope with his death. The song is based on a true story the songwriter heard on the radio about a father who felt closest to his veteran son when he drove in his truck.

Most tear-inducing lyric: “Momma asked me this morning if I’d been by your grave, but that flag and stone ain’t where I feel you anyway.”

Bonus: Music Video Everyone Is Glad the Ford F150 is Not In

The most famous music video to ever feature a truck, Carrie Underwood’s iconic video, “Before He Cheats” set the bar high for bitter ex-girlfriends and horrified truck lovers everywhere as Underwood absolutely demolished a red Dodge RAM with a baseball bat. The video shows Carrie keying the side of her beloved’s car and carving her name into the leather seats. The video would have been much more horrific to watch had Carrie destroyed a brand new Ford F150.
