TRUTH: Part 3 — Right To Him

Whose Way is Right in You Eyes?

The prior lesson explained that obedience is part of the process. It is impossible to create a lesson where every single verse or passage that talks about obedience is presented in some manner, there are just too many. But this evening, as I sat after dinner reflecting on the day with my step-children, I read this verse in Ya’akov:

Ya’akov 3:13–18 (James) — 13) Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show BY his good behavior his WORKS in meekness of wisdom. 14) But if you have bitter jealousy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast against AND [do not] lie against the truth. {don’t make up your own doctrine} 15) This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but it is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16) For where jealousy and self-seeking are, there is confusion and every foul deed. 17) But the wisdom from above is first clean, then peaceable, gentle, READY TO OBEY, filled with compassion and GOOD FRUITS, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18) And the FRUIT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS is sown in peace by those who make peace. <Php 1:11>

The last lesson focused on those who do not want to obey — those who do what is right in their own eyes. But what about doing what is right in the Father’s eyes?

Exodus 15:26And He said, “If you diligently obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim and do what is RIGHT IN HIS EYES, and shall listen to His commands and shall guard all His laws, I shall bring on you none of the diseases I brought on the Mitsrites {Egyptians}, for I am יהוה who heals you.”

<Exo 23:25; Lev 26:3–13; Deut 7:12–15; Deut 28:1; Jer 7:23; Exo 19:5; Deut 12:23–25; Exo 15:26; Deut 4:40; Deut 6:18; Deut 13:18; 1 Kgs 11:38; Eccl 8:12; Isa 3:10; Deut 12:28; 2 Kgs 12:2>

Here is the list of 24 instances of doing what was “right in the eyes of יהוה”. (There could be dozens more using different derivations of the phrase.)

This is an example of how we should think about the things that we want to do, or are thinking about doing, but need to determine if we should. Aharon asks Moshe if it is acceptable for him to eat the offerings presented earlier in the day. I won’t keep you in suspense, yes, the sacrifices that were not burned entirely were food for the working priests.

Leviticus 10:19And Aharon said to Mosheh, “See, today they have brought their sin offering and their ascending offering before יהוה, and matters like these have come to me! If I had eaten the sin offering today, would it have been right in the eyes of יהוה?”

Deuteronomy 12:28“Guard, and obey all these words which I command you, that it might be well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the eyes of יהוה your Elohim.”

More Doing what is right in the eyes of YHWH:

<Deut 12:25 (not eating blood); Deut 13:18; Deut 21:9; 1 Kgs 15:5, 11; 1 Kgs 22:43; 2 Kgs 12:2; 2 Kgs 14:3; 2 Kgs 15:3, 34; 2 Kgs 16:2 (did not do); 2 Kgs 18:3; 2 Kgs 22:2; 2 Chr 14:2; 2 Chr 20:32; 2 Chr 24:2; 2 Chr 25:2; 2 Chr 26:4; 2 Chr 27:2; 2 Chr 28:1 (did not do); 2 Chr 29:2; 2 Chr 34:2>

2 Corinthians 8:21For we provide what is right, not only in the sight of יהוה, but also in the sight of men. <Prov 3:3–5>

Men are inherently good, generally. So, when one DOES what is right in the eyes of the Father, it will be right in the eyes of men. Or at least that was what Sha’ul thought. He had not run into Christians then who had abolished the Torah and declared that doing all those “Jewish” things was sin. It was Christianity that redefined following the Word of Elohim as doing something wrong — sin. Although it always seems like I am picking on Catholicism, it really was the canons that they wrote for forcing into the faith that dictated these things.

Not in accordance with Scripture — the TRUTH of the Word of Elohim — rather, presumed that they had the authority to change the Word of Elohim. Do you remember what the sin of the Pharisees was? Changing the Word of Elohim using their man-made religion in order bring the Word of Elohim to naught (nothing).

The Catholic Church, through the Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma (Canons), CHANGED the Word of Elohim to fit what was right in their own eyes at that time. The RCC periodically processes new canons that overwrite old ones!

This IS the sin of the Pharisees.

There was no interest in doing what was RIGHT in the eyes of the Father that they claimed to worship. They overrode His authority with their own, claiming instead that the Spirit of Elohim gave them those NEW words to replace the Old Word.

But, what did we determine about TRUTH?

TRUTH is absolute. It is not relative. That also means that it does not change over time to accommodate new attitudes and personal beliefs.

TRUTH never contradicts itself.

TRUTH is self evident.

I will add this one myself, but it is based on the logic of the three prior statements:

TRUTH is perpetual. It does not change. Because it is absolute.

What did YHVH state about Himself:

Malachi 3:6a “For I am יהוה, I shall not change…

<Exo 3:14; Psa 102:27; Gen 21:33; Psa 33:11; Psa 119:89–91; Rom 11:29; Heb 6:17–18; Yak 1:17; Prov 19:21; Isa 46:10>

If the FATHER does not change, why would His TRUTH?

Messiah was the same in the beginning, as when He walked, as when He arose, as when He ascended, as when He assumed His place at the right hand of the Father, as He is still TODAY.

Hebrews 13:8“Yeshua Messiah is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”

<John 8:58; 2 Cor 1:19; Heb 1:12; Heb 6:17–18; Rev 1:4, 8>

If the Father and His Messiah NEVER change, why would the Spirit? He wouldn’t. This means that since the Spirit of Elohim is also TRUTH, He would/could NEVER speak anything other than the TRUTH. That means that when some man changes the TRUTH to fit what is right in his own eyes, he is the liar, and the Spirit is NOT with him. <1 John 2:4, 22; 1 John 4:20; 1 John 5:10!> The Spirit of Elohim is TRUTH. TRUTH can never contradict itself and is everlasting.

Like a ring that is continuous, the TRUTH is a closed circle. No matter where one starts on the circle, they will always come back around to the same TRUTH every, single time.

It is for these EXACT reasons that false faiths were eliminated in the original article. Faiths like Islam and Mormonism (Jehovah’s Witnesses, 7th Day Adventists, my own additions) that CLAIM they received a different Word of TRUTH from the same SPIRIT of TRUTH. That is oxymoronic and contradictory.

Therefore, ALL church canon, doctrine, dogma, and general “feelings about” that are contradictory to the WORD OF TRUTH, are false, lies, make-believe, fantasy, pretend… man-made religion. This includes EVERYTHING added in His Name that has NO Scriptural basis.

You know what I am talking about: Easter, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, saintification of men into vaunted idols of worship, praying to idols, presenting sacrifices to idols, praying to a man, confessions to a man, allowing a man to assume to role as Elohim or His Messiah on earth, distorting the dinner Messiah had with His disciples into something other than the Passover Seder blessings He was presenting to them.

(It was not a Seder, but contained Passover Seder elements. The Bread and wine prayers had been in use since the time of David or even before and were utilized at many ceremonial meals. Messiah KNEW He would die the following day and would not be there for the actual Seder, therefore He performed the ceremonial blessings with His disciples, but ALSO in order to communicate to them that He would reseal the covenant with the previously proposed changes in Scripture with His blood. Watch for a future lesson on this exact topic.)

Remember, the Israelites — AND — all those that had joined themselves to the Father (the mixed multitude among them) accepted the covenant (and this was already a third (maybe fourth) renewal with proposed amendments) AND were sprinkled with the blood, before Moshe went to the top of Sinai and received the Tabernacle, the Witness of the Father that is carved on the stone tablets.

When Moshe returned, the people were doing what was right in their own eyes and they had already broken the covenant that they had JUST accepted. The Father sentenced them to death. Moshe interceded and begged, even offered himself in their place. The Father sent him down and the Levites accepted the assignment from Elohim to purge out the evil among them and 3,000 men were slain by the sword that day. A reNEWed covenant was proposed making the Levites the new priesthood and there was another renewal in BLOOD. This is precisely what Messiah DID.

It was the plan of the Father the whole time. Can you see the exact story of the Messiah in Moshe offering himself for the people?

But why couldn’t Moshe offer himself?

Exodus 2:11–1211) And in those days it came to be, when Moshe was grown, that he went out to his brothers and looked at their burdens. And he saw a Mitsrian (an Egyptian) striking a Hebrew, one of his brothers. <Exo 1:11; Heb 11:24–26; Heb 11:24–25; Acts 7:23–26> 12) So he turned this way and that way {premeditated}, and when he saw no one, he struck {murder, 1st degree, intentional} the Mitsrian and hid him in the sand {aggravating circumstance}. <Acts 7:24>

Aggravated

Premeditated

1st degree murder.

Could Moshe give his life to pay the penalty of death for the sins of others?

No.

He had his own sins that required settlement with the Father.

Therefore, they had to take the alternative step — purging out the evil among them. This then precipitated a change in the covenant to create the Levitical priesthood. Which is spelled out as ended/replaced in Hebrews 7 and 8, replaced with the priesthood in the order of Malek Tsadek (the righteous king) with Messiah as the High Priest. BECAUSE — we are all engrafted into the house of Israel. The original priesthood was made up from the sons of the whole nation of Israel, not just the Levites.

Is there a priesthood?

Yes. I just said that!

Believers make up the priesthood. That means that all of those instructions in Torah about priestly service, that Sha’ul clearly explains take on a spiritual application, STILL apply to each one of us at a spiritual level. Do we bring physical sacrifices before the Father? Well, this actually goes both ways. No, there is no Temple. But, our using finances and resources and talents ARE physical sacrifices. Do we slaughter animals? Absolutely NOT! And there are many verses that say exactly this:

Psalms 51:16For You do not desire slaughtering, or I would give it; You do not delight in ascending offering.

And if you doubt the leading of the Spirit, question the authenticity of my lessons, doubt the TRUTH in them, I bring this to your attention. Go read this post from more than a year ago**. For the third time in the past 15–16 months, the Father, through His Spirit, has brought me AGAIN to Amos 5.

Amos 5:21–2721) “I have hated, I have despised your [made-up and lip-service] festivals, and I am not pleased with your assemblies. 22) Though you offer Me ascending offerings {incense, generally} and your grain offerings, I do not accept them, nor do I look on your fattened peace offerings {animals}. 23) Take away from Me the noise of your songs, for I do not hear the sound of your stringed instruments. 24) And let right-ruling roll on like water, and righteousness like a mighty {FLOOD, H5158, a winter torrent} stream. 25) “You brought Me slaughterings {sacrifices} and meal offerings {grains and wines} in the wilderness for 40-years, O house of Yisra’ĕl, 26) but you took up Sikkuth {Molech} [as] your sovereign and Kiyyun {Chiun, some heavenly deity, a star or planet}, [to be] your idols, your astral mighty ones {looking to the stars for leadership}, which you made for yourselves! <Acts 7:43>

[Modifications/additions] and {clarifications} are mine.

Messiah removed from the assemblies His light — the lamp stand <Rev 2:5–6> — and warns the lukewarm assembly that He will vomit it from His mouth.

Do you think that changing His Word and pretending to do a whole bunch of man-made (formerly pagan) practices in His Name qualifies as “hot”?

OR

Does this sound exactly like the Pharisees who replaced His Word with the words of men in order to practice their own version of religion in His Name, disregarding what was right in the Father’s eyes, rather doing what was right in their own?

Revelation 2:5–6 5) “So remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works, or else I shall come to you speedily and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. 6) “Yet this you have, that you hate the works of the Nikolaites, which I also hate.

In case you have ever wondered, the doctrine of the Nikolaites IS the doctrine of the vast majority of Christianity. That’s your homework assignment.

Doing what is right in the eyes of the Father is stated right here in Revelation:

…repent and do the first WORKS

What were the first works? Belief unto obedience. Doing what is right isn’t always easy, but it is ALWAYS right. TRUTH does not change.

Next lesson: WHO is HIS

#TheMANYvsTheFEW #TRUTH

Sneak preview:

Isaiah 56:1–81) Thus said יהוה, “Guard right-ruling {be just}, and DO righteousness, for near is My deliverance to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. {Messiah} 2) “Blessed is the man who DOES this, and the son of man who becomes strong in it, GUARDING {keeping} the Sabbath lest he profane it, and GUARDING {keeping} his hand FROM doing any evil. 3) “And let not the son of the foreigner who has joined himself to יהוה speak, saying, ‘יהוה has certainly separated me from His people,’ nor let the eunuch say, ‘Look I am a dry tree.’ ” 4) For thus said יהוה, “To the eunuchs who GUARD {keep} My Sabbaths, and have chosen what pleases Me {RIGHT in His eyes}, and are holding onto MY COVENANT: 5) to them I shall give in My house and within My walls a place and a name better than that of sons and daughters — I give them an EVERLASTING NAME that is not cut off. 6) Also the sons of the foreigner who JOIN themselves to יהוה, to SERVE Him, and to LOVE the Name of יהוה, to be His SERVANTS, all who GUARD {keep} the Sabbath, and not profane it, and are holding onto MY COVENANT — 7) them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer {kehilah, <Matt 16:18>}. Their ascending offerings and their slaughterings {sacrifices} are accepted on My slaughter-place {altar}, for My house is called a house of prayer {kehilah} for ALL THE PEOPLES.”

Don’t stop reading. Verse 8 confirms the invalidity of replacement theology (which is heretical). The Word of Elohim is TRUTH, TRUTH is not relative, nor does it change, nor can it contradict itself. TRUTH is everlasting.

… 8) The Master יהוה, who gathers the outcasts of Yisra’ĕl, declares, “I gather still others to him besides those who are gathered to him.”

The Father will gather Israel to His side AND gather others who are NOT Israel (the nations).
