Premier League Preview
Queens Park Rangers

Manager: Harry Redknapp
Captain: Clint Hill
13/14 position: 4th (PLAYOFF WINNERS)
Top League Goalscorer: Charlie Austin 19
After the completely horrific debacle that was QPR in the Premier League, with the crazy wage bill and players simply there to pick up a pay cheque (looking at you Mbia, Granero, Cesar, Park, Samba…), even as someone who isn’t Harry Redknapp’s biggest fan from his time around Dec 2004- Dec 2005, I cannot deny that the former Tottenham man has done a good job.
For a club relegated without a care in the world bar a few of the original squad that was promoted under Neil Warnock, and the stories that emanate from their two years in the top flight, Redknapp has shifted a lot of the big earners, and brought back a sense of pride in QPR. The likes of Shaun Wright-Phillips are still there picking up a wage when he isn’t anywhere near the side, granted, but this shouldn’t be the madness that stenched the Premier League from 11–13.

Yes they could outpay and outbid anyone, but the signings of Charlie Austin, Richard Dunne and Tom Carroll on loan gave quality to a side that looked dreadful. Austin from Burnley was the most important of the lot, as the side looked dangerously light up top without the former bricklayer hitting the back of the net on a regular basis.
Isla on loan from Juventus, and the likes of Caulker and Mutch from Cardiff add much needed quality. Glenn Hoddle in the coaching staff also is a smart move from a manager who admitted he missed McClaren after he took the Derby job, and gives him a tactical master to add to a man known for being good at talking to players. Should be safe, if they add goals. 14th
FANS OPINION: @Adam_OC1
What is your idea of a good season for your club?
Staying up before the last day of the season would be nice. We have quite a good squad this time round in the premier league with still some more additions to be made, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we had a steady season and finished higher up of the bottom half.
Worst case scenario?
Relegation. Don’t want to be called a yo-yo club!
Best player?
Adel Taarabt, arguably one of the most talented players to ever play for QPR.
Player you’d happily drive to his next club?
Shaun Wright Phillips, although he scored the winner against Chelsea, he’s absolutely useless.
Fans hero?
This is a tough one because there’s quite a few, Clint Hill, Alejandro Faurlin are seen as heros.. Bobby Zamora- because of that goal!
If you could pick, who would you want your team to do the double over this year?
Any of the London clubs, Chelsea, West Ham and Spurs particularly.
League winners?
Arsenal
Relegated?
Burnley, West Brom, Hull
Surprise package?
Stoke I think will have a really good season, maybe finish 7th/8th
Who will win the golden boot?
Diego Costa
