Just before shaking up the streets of Milan with her curves, Serena Williams was in France to help the grand opening of the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, alongside 1200 big-name guests, including several retired WTA players.

On the men’s side, ATP world №1 Novak Djokovic was there to help Serena mark the opening of her coach’s spectacular tennis academy in the heart of the French Riviera, in Sophia-Antipolis, on Monday 19th.

The gala event started with a press conference and was followed by a tour of the state-of-the-art facilities — a 12-hectare complex featuring 34 tennis courts (including 8 covered courts), a pro shop, a medical center equipped with the latest technology, as well as a four-star hotel resort.

For the black-tie part of the event, Serena opted for a loose black long-sleeve gown that exposed her cleavage and left leg.

The Mouratoglou Grand Opening party attracted a plethora of celebrities, including dear WTA faces such as Mathilde Johansson, Dinara Safina, Anastasia Myskina and Tatiana Golovin.

The evening came to a close with a tennis exhibition in which Serena and Novak hit with a selection of student-players from the academy.

To finalize the evening, DJ Bob Sinclar got the party started on the giant stage erected on the Mouratoglou Academy Center Court specially set up for the occasion.
