How To Avoid Marketing STDs And Becoming Your Industry’s Hooker

As a former “internet marketer” turned Online Business owner, I’m fortunate to have built multiple six and even a seven figure online business by simply delivering value up front.

Real, Innocent, trustworthy, TRUE VALUE.

I say “innocent” due to the fact that I and my incredible team build our businesses based on the concept of the REAL creation of value and trust instead of the atypical “give to receive” faux value that is spreading through the realm of internet marketing like a 1960’s STD.

By concentrating on building this constant, trusting web presence through Social Media and “Social Search Engines” by delivering up front quality content for free, I developed control of the MEDIA in my market.

Online marketing tactics as a whole are like fingernails to a chalkboard for the end user. Whether it be an impression on social media, a lead, or even a customer…

The countless bad ads…
The faux “value” opt-in only videos
The insta-heavy sales pitch
The scarcity filled aggressive email marketing campaigns….

All that forces you down a one way street of email spamming resulting in a carousel of bell and whistle products guaranteeing you the “end goal” while constantly jabbing at your emotions through poorly written, overhyped copy.

Here’s The Sales Funnel I’m talking about that I’m sure you are use to seeing, hearing, and getting sucked into.

… OH, and this is also the sales funnel I personally used for years!

Hyped Facebook Ad… to hyped Squeeze Page…

If you say “Yes”, and actually “Opt in” on the Opt In Page you are met with a tiny piece of faux value (lol) in exchange for a piece of your life every single day…

You know what I’m talking about…

To either read, ignore, or delete a daily email blast… until you unsubscribe from the marketer’s mailing list.

Typically the value ends at the moment of that tiny piece of faux value, right?

And… I’ve heard it all before… hell, even said it myself:

“If they don’t buy the first week… they likely won’t. So stick them in a broadcast list and offer them different products.”

Sheesh was I green…

…Never asking myself the questions that really matter…

Questions like:

WHY didn’t they buy?

WHY weren’t they READY?

WHY didn’t they trust me?

And the answers all came back to me being overly pushy and coming off desperate to make the sale.

After years of using this strategy… I finally began to wise up…

I finally changed my “lens” from “Internet Marketing Guru” to attempting to look at my marketing through the eyes of my prospects…

They are the TRUE Experts.

I immediately saw how I looked JUST LIKE every other shit marketer online who was obviously “doing it all for the dollar”.

So…

Call me a genius… but I made some changes that immediately solved this problem…

How you WOW them is up to you… BUT WOW them before you ask them to opt in to your mailing list.

You must WOW your audience by being different.

And sadly, in this world of Internet Marketing…

Different is actually offering REAL VALUE…

….and giving a damn about your prospects success.

How do you do this?

Easy, don’t offer them a FAKE sense of value.

And provide the best value you possible can for them.

Can you provide them the BEST Content on a subject they’ve ever seen?

In another sense:

Don’t concentrate on getting them into the sack before you even ask them on a first date…

It’s dirty..

It’s like marketing prostitution

It’s like taking the prospect down a dark alley, and while they are thinking they are getting lucky you turn around and ask them to pull out their wallet…

Don’t be a marketing whore..

Instead put on your FIRST DATE outfit, your smell good… and try and KNOCK the end-user’s SOCKS off with how amazing your content is.

Big Tip:

I recommend concentrating on create INCREDIBLE Content that is ARCHIVED and SEARCHABLE.

Think YouTube Videos, Podcasts, Blog Posts, etc

Where does your market go to SEARCH for a solution to the problem you provide?

Answer that question, and put your badass content there!

If you are going to put in GREAT WORK and offer INCREDIBLE value. Don’t let it just DIE OUT…

Let it works for you for months (or Years to come)

For example, if you search practically any term basketball training related on YouTube:

Basketball Moves
Ball Handling
How To Shoot A Basketball
etc.

My company I Love Basketball TV will pop up at the top of the search engine on YouTube.

This is by design.

We went out of our way to produce the top content on YouTube for the subject… Why would we just throw it up on a Facebook Post and Twitter, get a few comments, and watch it die a shockingly FAST DEATH.

Your TOP CONTENT… your WOW content, should be ARCHIVE-ABLE content.

This will result in MAJOR up front VALUE, and a TON of RELATIONSHIP BUILDING! This WOW Content will also work for you 24/7 to target “In the Need” Prospects meaning they are currently in the moment of actually searching for your help…

Pretty Damn Valuable, Right?

NOW, once we’ve WOW’d them. We give THEM the decision to FOLLOW UP! Yes, that’s right…

We subtly say…

Linking to a SUBTLE and CLEAR Opt In PAGE

You should expect a 50–75% OPT IN Rate on your optin page. (Yeah, that’s RIGHT)

Remember, this “prospect” made the decision to click to follow up with you at this point, and as long as you don’t “make it weird” on your email opt in page.. you’ll notice a high conversion :)

So don’t make the mistake of going all “Internet Marketing” on them and spazzing out on crazy buzzwords and insane claims.. Just continue the conversation of AWESOME that got them to this point.

If They Say No to Your Opt In Offer?

Don’t worry…

They automatically go right back into your pool of more AWESOME upfront VALUE content, and will likely optin when they are ready to do so from some of your archive-able content :)

If They Say YES to Your Opt In Offer?

Here’s the biggie…

Give them WHAT you PROMISED in a form of “WOW” that will take their impression of you to the next level.

I don’t recommend giving them a “chunk” of content…
I don’t recommend offering something that is bare-boned and plain…

I know what you are thinking…

“But all the marketing gurus tell you to only give a piece!”

YES- they do.. and that’s the PROBLEM.

In order to build a true connection with your prospects…

You need to be the person who does it DIFFERENT than everyone else your prospect has ran into…

Zig while others ZAG.

Imagine how you’ll look in the eyes of your prospects when you make it obvious to your prospects that you actually give a shit, give them value, and help them move forward.

Instead of just being another marketer who tries to suck them into a “funnel” of offers…

Boy-oh-Boy will they be happy!

This is where you’ll have to continue providing value and content..

Much like how an athlete has to “bring it” every game…

You need to “bring it” every post.. comment, email, product, service.

You will only be as good as your WORST piece of content you share with your audience.

There is NOTHING wrong with selling at the point to be clear. In fact, you should be. But your offers should be relevant and mixed in with content that makes your emails extremely value-rich.
