The Innovation Initiative’s Quarterly Report

When I joined with Chief Deputy Whip Patrick McHenry and other House Republicans to start the Innovation Initiative, we had a simple goal: enable innovation in the private sector and bring innovation into government.

Three months after beginning the initiative, we’ve made great progress. After meeting with leaders of innovation in California, we’ve brought together entrepreneurs, industry experts, thought leaders, and policy makers to challenge each other to develop new ideas. So far this year, the House has passed 15 innovation bills from protecting email privacy rights to encouraging investment from angel investors.

This is just the beginning, and we have more planned on and off the House floor in the months to come.
