I’d say 8 of 10 of the grown men I know have used the term “GQ” to define a time that they cleaned up nice. The other 2 wanted to but didn’t have the words to express it. Im sure there are a lot of Greggory Kings roaming the world but only one me.

Ah you’re probably catching on to why “Double Entendre” is present. This journey is MINE and what I want to find is my GQ. Of course I can be GQ now, I was born with it. Moms and Pops taught me to clean up nice and not just for funerals or weddings. The GQ mind state is what im after. It’s the “Even if they wear jeans, tailor that suit” mentality that can’t be affected. The confidence to wear that bathing suit even if your body image isn’t what society says it should be. It’s the “Jump” kind of mentality when it comes to bettering yourself business wise. It’s the courage to be different and accept everything that comes along with it. I can give examples all day but the big picture is painted in hard work, sacrifice, and dedication.
What’s your “GQ”? Life is about progression so, what are you willing to sacrifice?
We’ve all seen the magazines and the covers that catch all eyes. Rappers, actors, actresses, athletes. Dressed up in their Sundays best, cheesing like they won the lotto or dressed down about to hit a beach with white sand with an umbrella in their drink. To me, it’s a state of mind that stretches far beyond the physical.
We take these photos for what our eyes see. Look deeper. These people struggled, fought and sacrificed for the things they indulge in and enjoy now. People came and went. Im sure they had support and sometimes their support system was limited to 1. Themselves. This is what im willing to do. I want to be Happy, Healthy and Successful. Within those 3 things lie everything that I care about and all I believe in. From family to friends to passions to ideas. I’m just a young man from the Northside of Wichita, KS that is demanding more from myself than I ever have before. Im prepared to share everything that life entails. So much inspiration to be better but number 1 on the list is, My son: Kenton Thomas King.
