
DEARBORN, Mich., December 14, 2020 — GTB, a global, industry-leading precision retail marketing agency, announced today that Beau Smith has been appointed as GTB’s EVP, Managing Director Retail, supporting Ford’s national network of U.S. dealers.
Smith brings over 17 years of experience managing all aspects of multi-franchise dealerships, including Ford, Lincoln, Honda, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Volvo and more. He is also well known to the family of Ford dealers. Prior to this appointment, Smith served as the owner operator at BSC Consulting as well as executive leadership at Epsilon where he guided automotive strategy and the field organization.
From 2012 to 2014, Smith was the Chairman of the Ford National Dealer Council, representing over 3,000 franchise dealers and collaborating with Ford’s leadership on all aspects of the industry. …

Dearborn, Mich. October 5, 2020 — Today GTB, a global, industry-leading communications agency launches third annual “Impact Week,” an agency-wide initiative to give back to local communities around the world. This year’s Impact Week will be operated almost entirely online and span six continents.
The last two years team members have donated over 7,700 service hours in 22 cities across the globe in support of nearly 40 community organizations.
This year’s Impact Week, from October 5–9, GTB will support global organizations in the fight against food insecurity, socially isolated communities in residential homes, and small businesses affected by the COVID-19 shutdown. …

GTB partnered with Ford and Code Studio to create the Accessibility Mat, a portable accessory for drivers with disabilities and/or limited mobility. The prototype is a redesign of the EcoSport’s trunk mat, taking a standard extension of most vehicles and turning it into a lightweight ramp that can be easily stored on the back of a wheelchair.

In September, GTB welcomed Diane Flynn, co-founder and CEO of ReBoot Accel, to lead a conversation on “Passion & Purpose.” Diane discussed the power and caveats of saying “yes”; five behaviors that hold most people back from reaching their potential; proven techniques for unlocking opportunities for growth; and strategies on how to align your career to your values.
Diane outlined each of these points after telling GTB about a time she was stuck on the couch and began reassessing her life’s focus, which, for the last 16 years, had been her family. At that point, her kids had grown up and out of the house, and she was looking for a new purpose. Shortly after this reflection, she got a call asking her back to work. Diane said yes — a yes that was outside of her comfort zone, but a yes that has since led her to create ReBoot Accel, teach at Stanford University, speak on national platforms such as NPR and the Today Show and co-write her very own book. …
