Marriages are made in heaven but its planning needs indulgence of loved ones and expert advice to chalk out a memorable wedding. And we at weddingplz.com ensure that you get that comprehensive guide to chart out an exclusive plan for the most important day of your adult life. Here we are giving you a sneak peek into the latest jewellery trend in this wedding season.

Take your pick
For ladies, wedding means dressing time. However no layer of makeup can up your glamour quotient until you team up your trousseau with statement jewelry. You can go the traditional way, decked up from tip to toe or get trendy and flaunt unique statement jewellery to beat the competition. After all why settle for less when you can sparkle like a diva by following the latest trend.
The top trends for the coming season:
Bollywood influences the way we dress up and quite lately the way brides get jeweled. The exquisite all gold and diamond look of Deepika in Bajorao Mastani movie is the latest fad. The statement jewellery made the diva look ethereal and demure, something that will be etched in our minds for a very long time.

- Nath or nose-ring. A bride adorns Nathor nose ring since ages. With Bollywood celebrities like Vidya Balan and Sonam Kapoor sporting it on the Cannes red carpet this piece of ornament has gained its rightful position. So pick up an elegant maharashtrian or tehri style elaborate nath or Mastani inspired nath.

- Layered neck-pieces or Rani haars. The modern bride is getting experimental giving a much needed farewell to the old bridal sets. Brides prefer separates and individual pieces that can be worn in myriad ways. Team up elegant chokers with long layered necklaces and rani haars.

- Temple jewellery. These South Indian master crafts pieces with goddess adornments are back in vogue. These are worn as hand cuffs, jhumkas and multi-strand neck-pieces with a statement pendant. This jewelry is made of finest gold embedded with precious gems and stones. So If you are wearing a south silk saree or beocade silk lehenga do try this.
- Indian Haath Phool. It literally means “Hand flower” consists of a center focal (usually in a floral shape) on the center of the palm connected to the bracelet. This season try kundan and meenakari pieces or delicate filigree gold work or gold combined with pearls for your beautiful hands.

- Bajuband or Armbands. This interesting piece of jewelry is highly underrated wedding accessory. However armband is gradually getting noticed by the modern rebellious brides who want to have a different statement look. Go for precious gem studded bajubands or simple gold arms band to highlight your delicate arm.
- Hand Cuff. This western-style cuff, influenced by gladiator designs, is perfect for brides who experiment with Indo western wedding gowns. The plates are simplistic making for a thick cuff that can stand on its own, or can be paired with other bangles.
- Kamarband. This waist band, also known as kamarband, patka or phenta is a long ornate strip usually worn around the waist, resting elegantly on the waistline. It looks great, when it’s worn with low waist garment thus highlighting the figure. Go for simpler ones if you are wearing a saree or go for elaborate Kamarband if you settle for lehenga.
- Ear cuffs. This one has been around for quite some time but according to international fashion experts this ornament will be pushed further in 2016. Our desi brides can take a cue from this global trend and can settle for some elaborate gem studded pieces to enhance the bridal look.
- 9. Side Tikka or Chhapka Jewellery:- Chhapka can also be laid apart from the bride’s hairline, laying parallel to the side part instead. This look allows the bride to part her hair in different ways while still showing off a dazzling hair piece. It adds a unique asymmetry to the look that draws attention to the pendant.
Indians spend majorly on gold jewellery, a precious metal considered both a status symbol and an investment. This classic and timeless commodity is integral part of heirloom which changes ownership across generations. However with changing times and lifestyles platinum and diamond jewelry is slowly catching up with the gold fever.
Whatever be the trend, keep an elegant yet confident demeanor for an everlasting wedding photo frame. And from team weddingplz.com “ Badhai Ho”!
