I’ve been in development for almost 30 years. The entire experience you describe is so typical. I just went through the very same thing myself, and it is the silliest goddam thing around. Honestly…how the FUCK does ANYTHING ever progress???Anyway, what it all boiled down to was a mechanical, sterile process that is essentially a pissing contest between “intellectual” wannabes who think the more profound, technical drivel they spout off, the more everyone is impressed with them. And, that holds true because there are so many dumbasses in the world, like most business executives who couldn’t blink with the instructions in the back of their eyelids. They deer-stare when they hear these terms and concepts, or they nod and agree with the arrogance of Lord Farqad trying to cover their real ignorance.

Which then turns into HR policies and practices, rigidly scripted of course, that rain down on everyone, drowning wills, spirits, souls and minds. I actually had one little dillweed note I had difficulty “staying on task”. I WAS TRYING TO HAVE A GODDAM CONVIVIAL, INTELLIGENT CONVERSATION WHILE I EXECUTED YOUR DUMBASS “GOOD LITTLE ROBOT DRONE TEST”.
