You kind of have to know how to find St Katharine Docks — it’s a small marina tucked away beside Tower Bridge, on the north side of the river.
Surrounding the water, and overlooking the boats, is a good selection of bars and restaurants — perfect on a sunny day if you are out exploring the city.
For coffee, the best option is probably the small cafe White Mulberries. It’s not cheap, but the coffee is good and there is a tempting selection of cakes on display.
A good spot to sit for a while and dream of sailing away on a luxury boat.
