Oh for the love of Pasta
December 2 2010, i had gastric bypass surgery. Within a few months i went from 350lbs to 160, then 140, and finally 135. However, there was a big price to pay and that was EATING. I had many side effects including the um intestine that kept collapsing making me have 5 separate day surgeries wherein my Dr. D Starr had to use a tube and scope down to open said tube.
Well not only did i not begin to heal until perhaps June 2011, the scoping damaged my throat (scrapping it) and i know have to rinse daily with some prescription normally used for throat cancer patients to numb the pain.
Also i subsist on tea, cheese, sometimes a muffin but i am lucky to be able to eat meatloaf or tiny meatballs. But lordy lord what i wouldn’t do for a heaping bowl of fettuccini alfredo (please excuse my spelling, bad day).
I toss up food sometimes on an hourly basis but it was better than the alternative as my left heart ventricle had collapse and i was heading for a severe heart attack. Lucky also that I was very fat but when i lost the weight there was not allot of well leftovers.
So moral of my story enjoy your food; moderately and think of me the next time you have a bowl of pasta :) cheers.
